Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"This was my first time trying an açai bowl and matcha. The matcha was very delicious. I was expecting the matcha to taste more grassy but it tasted magnificent especially with the hint of strawberry. The açai bowl was really good especially with the toppings (mvp the chocolate sauce), however, the açai could have a bit more flavour, besides that I had no problem. Additionally, the staff was really nice and patient when I was figuring out what açai bowl and matcha flavour I should get. I would recommend ^^"
"I called in last week on the bank holiday and even though the store was super super busy the quality and service was amazing! The girls were super sweet and helped recommend a new matcha for me to try based on what flavours I told them I liked and the drink tasted and looked stunning! I love how they are so generous with the toppings on their bowls it was so tasty and filling. Will definitely be back!"
"Went in a couple weeks ago to try the new smoothie range that had been advertised on their social media account. Absolutely delicious and a great little place with so much character and friendly staff. Will definitely be back."
"There are only around 6 seats but the food is good. They offer acai, chia and matcha bowls (chia and matcha have no acai in them). The price is decent and the food delicious. They also offer matcha drinks and will happily make most things vegan!"
"Amazing matcha and açia bowls get to pick 2 toppings, fruit and sauces. 10/10 fun. Location is not great for those driving only on street parking but worth the drive."
"The staff in WIP are the absolute one They listen to your order, ask about preferences and then create the nicest tasting, smoothest matcha ever, total matcha convert now - I get mine with matcha after being recommended it here. Also a huge Cereal Killer coffee fan"
"My usual breakfast routine was getting boring so I decided to switch it up with a protein bowl here. The portions are actually massive and kept me full right through until dinner. You can tell they put effort into the presentation, it almost looked too good to eat. It's a bit of a treat price wise, but I felt much better for it. Really friendly service too, which makes a difference."
"My expectations were high considering how much everyone in Belfast seems to be talking about this place lately. I’ve lived in cities with huge matcha cultures, so I’m usually a bit skeptical of new spots claiming to have the best. WIP has been all over my Instagram, and I finally had a free morning, so I decided to see if it lived up to the hype. When I ordered the iced strawberry matcha, I was ready for something either too bitter or way too sugary. Instead, what I got was a perfectly balanced, green drink that tasted very fresh. You can genuinely tell they are using high grade matcha because there was zero graininess. The strawberry flavour was natural and didn't overpower the tea at all. loved the minimalist decor and the general energy of the people inside. I’m giving it 4 stars only because the price is definitely on the higher side for a daily drink. It’s more of a weekend indulgence for me, but the quality makes it worth the extra couple of pounds. If you’re a matcha snob like me, you won’t be disappointed."
